After an initial consultation, where you will decide which dental crown treatment is most suitable, you will then need to have the tooth prepared for a crown. This will involve your tooth being shaped to allow more space to fit the crown to. Impressions are then taken, from which we create your new crown which is fitted directly to the prepared tooth.
This will depend on the material you decide to have your crown made from. Typically, we would expect a crown to last anywhere from 5 to 15 years. Good oral hygiene habits and regular dental check ups will help to prolong the lifespan of your crown.
